DiscoverArch is proud to launch the Student Project Award 2025, a premier global competition for the next generation of architects. We believe that every student, from first-year innovators to graduating visionaries, deserves a platform to share their unique voice. This award is dedicated to uncovering and celebrating outstanding creativity, design excellence, and the diverse perspectives shaping the future of architecture.

It’s your chance to present your best work to the world, gain international visibility, and join a community dedicated to pushing the
boundaries of the built environment. This competition provides students a platform to showcase their best projects to a global
audience, with recognition offered across two categories:

Jury Choice Award – selected by a distinguished panel of architects and educators.
Public Choice Award – decided through open voting, giving wider audiences the chance to engage with your work

CHALLENGE

The Student Project Awards invites young designers to step beyond the classroom and share their most compelling academic work with a wider audience. This is more than a submission of drawings and models it is an opportunity to showcase the ideas, values, and visions that define you as an emerging architect.

The challenge lies in transforming academic exploration into a statement of creativity and purpose. Projects should carry the essence of curiosity, innovation, and critical thought, reflecting not just design ability but also a sensitivity to people, place, and the challenges of our time.

Through this platform, your academic journey becomes part of a larger conversation one that celebrates imagination, questions
conventions, and shapes the future of architecture.

JURY CHOICE AWARD

The Jury Choice Awards recognize the most outstanding academic projects as determined by a distinguished panel of architects, educators, and industry professionals.

After the initial submission, a Preliminary Jury will carefully review all entries and shortlist projects. These shortlisted projects will then advance to the Final Jury Round.

In this stage, the selected participants will be invited to present their work live before the jury panel in an online Jury session, which will also be streamed on DiscoverArch’s official YouTube channel.

During the final round, the jury will evaluate and mark the presentations, and the winners of the Jury Choice Awards will be
selected based on their judgment.

PUBLIC CHOICE AWARD

The Public Choice Award celebrate projects that resonate most with the wider community.

After the initial submission, the Preliminary Jury will select the Top 30 projects. These shortlisted projects will be uploaded on the
DiscoverArch website, where they will be showcased to a global audience.

Anyone can register on the website and cast their vote for their favorite project, making this category an opportunity for students to
reach beyond the academic and professional sphere and engage with the public directly.

At the end of the voting period, the projects receiving the highest number of votes will be declared the winners of the Public Choice
Awards.

SUBMISSION & FORMAT

• Site plan should show the orientation and connection to the building
• Floor Plans Showing interior spatial arrangements and zoning.
• Large Scale Drawing highlighting any innovative design details or features.
• 3D Representations: Perspectives & renderings
• Elevations and sections of the building/site.
• Materials and innovative construction techniques

Maximum of 2 A1-size sheets in PDF format

The sheet must be marked with your unique identification number, written clearly in the top right corner on the sheet.
No names, logos, or institutional identifiers should appear on the sheets.

ELIGIBILITY

We invite all students from undergraduate to post-graduate candidates currently enrolled in architecture, urban planning, landscape design, or related programs worldwide to join this competition and showcase their innovative ideas. Participants are welcome to submit multiple entries; however, each entry needs to be registered separately.

Both individual and team entries are accepted, with a maximum of four participants per team.

FACULTY MENTOR

While registering, you can also include a Faculty Mentor (optional).

If your project wins in any category or receives an Honorable Mention, the Faculty Mentor will also be featured across all DiscoverArch social media platforms and publications as a token of appreciation for their guidance and contribution.

*The Faculty Mentor is not counted as one of the 4 team members.

The college with the highest number of submissions will be recognized as the Most Active College of the DiscoverArch Student Project Award 2025.

This is a token of our appreciation and gratitude to institutions that consistently motivate and support their students to participate in architectural competitions. Such encouragement plays a vital role in shaping young designers, enhancing their confidence, creativity, and practical understanding of design beyond academics.

The winning college will be featured prominently on our social media platforms and will receive exclusive Award kit as a gesture of
recognition. Through this award, we aim to celebrate institutions that cultivate an environment of learning, exploration, and innovation shaping the next generation of architects who think boldly and design responsibly.
